The Chains Monitor Italy monitors new hotel chain affiliations and recent hotel exits on a quarterly basis, together with the hotel pipeline for the next 3-4 years.
The Chains Monitor Italy Q3+Q4 2022 (sponsored by Toto) shows that in the last 10 years the number of hotel chains in Italy has increased by 59%. Today 20% of the total hotel keys are managed or branded by a chain. The rooms offered by chain hotels have increased annually since 2013, with an impressive growth rate of 44%.
In the coming years (2022-2025), the hotel pipeline (new constructions and/or affiliations) amounts to 158 hotels, 73.4% of which belong to international groups.
