Chain Monitor Italy Q1+Q2 2022

The Chains Monitor Italy monitors new hotel chain affiliations and recent hotel exits on a quarterly basis, together with the hotel pipeline for the next 3-4 years.

The Chains Monitor Italy Q1+Q2 2022 (sponsored by Relactions) revealed that 102 hotels affiliated with a chain in the January-June period, 67% of which belonged to the upscale segment. On the other hand, 71 hotels ceased their affiliation with a chain during the six-month period, most of them belonging to the upscale segment (76%) and to a national chain (66%).
In the coming years (2022-2025), the hotel pipeline (new constructions and/or affiliations) amounts to 158 hotels, 73.4% of which belong to international groups.
